   Democratic Candidate
       Senator Borack Obama
Senator Obama promises tax cuts and direct spending targeted to working families, seniors, homeowners and the unemployed. He believes that there is $45 billion in reserves that can be invested into the economy quickly in the future if the economy continues to deteriorate. As a relief for workers and their families, Obama promises an immediate $250 tax cut. In addition, he will give an immediate temporary $250 bonus to seniors in their Social Security checks. If the economy continues to suffer, Obama will offer an additional $250 tax cut to workers and an additional $250 to seniors. Further, he would extend and expand unemployment insurance.

 Republican Candidate
         John McCain

Dark One and to Whomever Else
Dark one, eyes light in juxtaposition to your deeply colored skin. They burn into me as if mirroring the sun; igniting for life's seatbelt to fasten as a new day allows us all to once again begin.

Confronted every single day, in varying forms, and in each and every way, with both subtle and obvious reminders of what the mainstream ideal of beauty is---yet, what is so obvious, we pretend and mask as subtle, as what is obvious is too painful and what is subtle allows escapist.

And it is unfair and unjust and trust that to them I owe no trust; because, as a result of being informed of the fact that what nature has prescribed for me, does not fit nor meet the expectations of our culture's description...I am too tall or too stout; my mouth is too large, but lips appear to not hold enough pout. My hips are too wide, yet to another they do not curve widely enough to stick out. My eyes are too distantly set or too closely pushed, my ass was seen as perfection in one city, but here it is merely a reflection of the fact that I allow myself to eat.

This blazing heat---too fierce to offer any hill aside from steep to a person that keeps more within than what is clearly viewed on the surface.

Beg the sun, we plead---though we often are unaware of the need to plead---let a new day begin...hopefully with this it will have moved closer to have already begun...maybe one day we will all taste an equal world's win, maybe we all will feel the sweet need to slowly run.

THE CAREY SISTERS  & THEIR ONLINE RADIO SHOW

The Carey Sisters, Brandy and Valen, launched their online radio show in September of 2007. With a plan and a show concept, they  introduced "The Carey Sisters" online radio show.  The radio show covers topics ranging from sports to basketball.  The Carey Sisters  grew up in the sports and music world. With two older brother always listening to music and a legendary basketball coach as their father, it is no wonder Brandy and Valen want to cover sports and music. The show is catered towards people between the ages of 18-32 who have an interest in fun discussions about up-and-coming artists and designers.  The listeners always tune in for a bundle of fun and news about the latest in the music and sports industries.  Since online radio is the “radio of the future,” The Carey Sisters are headed towards the right track. The Carey Sisters believe that you can accomplish whatever you believe in with a little bit of hard work.  They are very appreciative of the success they are having with their internet-based radio show. Future plans include a talk show! For now, you can hear The Carey Sisters live at www.LVROCKS.com.
